It's understandable because you should know your country's history first before you learn about the rest of the world's, but as you said, there's only so much you can learn before it gets dry!Cillahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08909017383144456321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422763458481605657.post-30147258293157435382017-01-10T15:27:41.313+07:002017-01-10T15:27:41.313+07:00Same! It's a bit unfortunate that it is the case, but fiction has a way of making history interesting that classes often don't.Cillahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08909017383144456321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422763458481605657.post-16878738479262881452017-01-10T15:25:32.806+07:002017-01-10T15:25:32.806+07:00Exactly! In my history classes in high school, we always learned about Australian history, which was interesting...but there's only so much you can learn about Australian history before it gets a bit dry, you know? Glad there's historical fiction around! :D Geraldine @ Corralling Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08736170042008371323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422763458481605657.post-53338911281348982462017-01-08T23:13:55.373+07:002017-01-08T23:13:55.373+07:00I also read a lot of historical fiction. Temporarily letting your brain have a break from your problems is a way to relieve stress, and that's good for us! I also agree that reading about characters go through a bunch of terrible stuff but still get through it and often get their happy ending is inspiring to me. So I guess it makes sense that fantasy is mostly what I read :-)Kit @ Metaphors and Moonlighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10113986982046115579noreply@blogger.com
